Dragon Boat ACT is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the role of Team Manager for the ACT State Team for the upcoming representative season.

 

 

The Team Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, athletes, and DBACT in the preparation and delivery of the ACT State Team campaign. This includes assisting with administration, communication, logistics, and welfare to ensure the team can perform at its best - Note this is a volunteer role.

 

•     Act as the primary point of contact for athletes and coaches regarding team administration.

•     Support the Coaching Team with scheduling, planning, and information sharing.

•     Coordinate travel, accommodation, uniform, and equipment requirements.

•     Manage team communications, including distributing updates and key documents.

•     Support athlete welfare and foster a positive team environment.

•     Liaise with DBACT on budget, compliance, and reporting requirements.

•     Uphold DBACT and AusDBF values, policies, and codes of conduct.

 

•     Strong organisational and communication skills.

•     Experience in team administration (sporting or community).

•     Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships.

•     Reliability, accountability, and commitment to supporting the State Team.

•     Demonstrated ability to work with others in line with DBACT behavioural expectations.

 

•     Attendance at ACT State Team training sessions, selection events, and planning meetings as scheduled.

•     Availability to attend the Australian Dragon Boat Championships at Lake Kawana, Bokarina, Sunshine Coast, QLD, 18 - 23 April 2025 with the team.

•     Willingness to commit time to manage administration, communication, and logistics outside of training hours.
